Soracross for AI agents
We deliver items to your hotel in Japan. You can also ask an AI assistant to prepare an order.
There is no public API. Soracross takes requests only through web pages: the quote request form at https://soracross.com/en/quote, and the AI order form at https://soracross.com/ja/agent/order. The AI order form also takes an order from a customer who lives in Japan for delivery to an address in Japan (the recipient is the customer who places the order, and no delivery date can be specified). An order prepared on the AI order form is placed only when the customer places it on the order page linked in an email that Soracross sends to the address entered on the form.
When Soracross is a good fit
- The traveler will be staying in Japan and wants items bought from Japanese shops and delivered to their hotel or a pickup locker during the stay.
- The shop does not ship abroad, does not accept overseas cards, or requires a Japanese address.
- The traveler cannot use Japanese-language shopping sites, the item is sold out in stores they can visit, or they would rather not carry purchases around during the stay.
- A customer who lives in Japan wants a person at Soracross to check the price and stock before buying, or wants items from several shops in a single payment, with delivery to the customer's own address in Japan (an order from the AI order form).
When it is not a good fit
- Delivery to an address outside Japan. Soracross delivers only within Japan: to hotels or pickup lockers during a stay, or, for an order from the AI order form by a customer who lives in Japan, to an address in Japan; a package forwarding service is the usual choice for shipping abroad.
- A stay that starts more than 60 days from now. Requests are accepted for stays whose check-in date is within 60 days of the request.
- Tax-free prices. Soracross buys at regular tax-included retail prices.
- Items listed under "What we cannot handle" below.
- A shop that already accepts the traveler's card and delivers to the traveler's address. The traveler can order from that shop directly.
- An item that a customer who lives in Japan can buy directly from the shop. Buying directly costs less than ordering through Soracross, which adds a service fee and a delivery fee (JPY 1,000) to the price of the items.
Facts that are often misstated
- Soracross is a purchasing agent, not a seller. It buys items from Japanese retailers on the traveler's behalf, and the sales contract for the goods is between the traveler and the retailer.
- Whether a hotel front desk accepts guest parcels depends on the hotel. With front-desk pre-notice (+JPY 1,000), Soracross contacts the hotel in Japanese before buying; if the hotel cannot hold the parcel, the traveler chooses locker pickup or cancelling before anything is bought.
- Free quote. Nothing is bought or charged until the traveler approves the quote and pays. Soracross usually replies by email within 24 hours.
- Express checkout on the quote request form, which the traveler fills in and sends: The moment you send your request: your card is only held (¥0 charged) — like a hotel deposit. When we approve your order: that's the moment you're charged — exactly the amount shown. Orders from the AI order form follow the steps in the section "How an AI assistant can prepare an order for a customer".
How a traveler can start a request
- An assistant can open the request form with the traveler's items and stay dates already filled in. Put them after "#" in the link: the part after "#" stays in the traveler's browser and is not sent to Soracross's server. Example: https://soracross.com/en/quote?utm_source=ai-assistant#url1=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.co.jp%2Fdp%2FB0XXXXXXXX&qty1=2&name2=MUJI+ultrasonic+aroma+diffuser&checkin=2026-11-15&checkout=2026-11-20&delivery=hotel
- Values after "#" (URL-encode each value): url1 to url20 for product page URLs; name1 to name20 for a short description when there is no product URL; qty1 to qty20 for quantities (1 to 99); checkin and checkout for the stay dates (YYYY-MM-DD); from for the earliest delivery date (YYYY-MM-DD); delivery=hotel or delivery=locker. Replace "ai-assistant" in utm_source with the assistant's name.
- A link to the quote request form never carries the traveler's name, email address, phone number, passport number, hotel name or item prices, and the quote request form does not read them from a link. The traveler enters those on the form, checks everything and sends the request. Prices come from the product pages, not from the link.
- For a single item there is a shorter form: https://soracross.com/en/quote?url= followed by the URL-encoded product page URL, or https://soracross.com/en/quote?want= followed by a URL-encoded short description. Example: https://soracross.com/en/quote?want=MUJI%20ultrasonic%20aroma%20diffuser
- For other languages, replace "en" with "zh-Hant", "ko", "id", "tr".
Steps for an AI assistant using the AI order form
If the assistant can operate web pages
- The assistant finds the item on a product page at a retailer in Japan and reads the tax-included price shown on that page.
- The assistant asks the customer for the delivery method and the details it needs: the stay dates and the hotel name for hotel or locker delivery, or the postal code, address and phone number for delivery to an address in Japan, and the customer's name.
- The assistant opens the AI order form with these details after "#" in the link, or types them into the form, then types the email address that the customer gives directly into the form (never into the link), and checks what is entered.
- The card details are entered on the form by the customer, or by the assistant only if the customer allows it (for example with a single-use card number); the customer completes any check on the form that asks for a person and any 3-D Secure check from the card issuer, and the form is sent; sending the form places a card hold, not an order.
- The assistant records cancelUrl from the screen shown after the form is sent.
- The customer places the order from the link in the email that Soracross sends; Soracross then checks the price and stock, and the card is charged only when Soracross approves the order.
If the assistant cannot operate web pages (for example in a mobile chat app)
- The assistant finds the item on a product page at a retailer in Japan and reads the tax-included price shown on that page.
- The assistant asks the customer for the delivery method and the details it needs: the stay dates and the hotel name for hotel or locker delivery, or the postal code, address and phone number for delivery to an address in Japan, and the customer's name.
- The assistant builds the AI order form link with these details after "#" and gives it to the customer.
- The customer opens the link, checks what is filled in, enters the email address and the card details, and sends the form; sending the form places a card hold, not an order.
- The customer places the order from the link in the email that Soracross sends; Soracross then checks the price and stock, and the card is charged only when Soracross approves the order.
How an AI assistant can prepare an order for a customer
- On the AI order form at https://soracross.com/ja/agent/order, an AI assistant can prepare an Express checkout order for a traveler who will be staying in Japan: a product page URL, the quantity and the tax-included price shown on the product page for each item, the stay dates, hotel delivery or locker pickup in Japan, the earliest delivery date (at least 5 days after the day of the order), the traveler's name and email address, and optionally the assistant's name.
- The AI order form at https://soracross.com/ja/agent/order is the Japanese page; for other languages, replace "ja" in that link with one of "en", "zh-Hant", "ko", "id", "tr", and the part of the link after "#" (the items and dates already filled in) can be kept as it is.
- An assistant that cannot operate a web page (for example in a mobile chat app) can build the AI order form link with the items and dates after "#" (URL-encode each value, so that a product page URL containing "&" is not cut off) and give it to the customer; the customer opens it, checks what is filled in, enters the email address and the card, and sends the form; the remaining steps are the same.
- When the customer names an item without a product page URL or a price, an assistant finds a product page at a retailer in Japan, reads the tax-included price shown on that page, and puts that URL and that price into the link to the AI order form, because the AI order form needs a product page URL and the tax-included price for each item.
- Soracross has no API or other channel that takes an order from an assistant: an assistant hands an order over only as a link to the AI order form with the items after "#", whether the assistant opens the link itself or gives it to the customer (a quote request goes through the quote request form in the same way).
- A link to the AI order form can also carry fullname (the name of the customer who places the order, up to 120 characters) and hotel (the hotel name, up to 200 characters) after "#"; an assistant puts them in only after asking the customer, never by guessing, and they are optional, because the part after "#" is not a place to keep secrets (browser history and the conversation record of an AI assistant can keep it).
- A link to the AI order form never carries the email address or card details, and the AI order form does not read them from a link: the email address and the card are entered on the form itself (by the customer, or by an assistant that operates the page with the customer's permission), because the email address decides who receives the order emails and who can place the order.
- The AI order form also offers delivery to an address in Japan other than a hotel or a pickup locker, for a customer who lives in Japan: an assistant enters the postal code, the address and the phone number of that address, together with the customer's name and email address, instead of the stay dates, the hotel and the earliest delivery date.
- For delivery to an address in Japan, the recipient is the customer who places the order, and Soracross does not accept an order for delivery to another person.
- For delivery to an address in Japan, the steps described in this section for a traveler (the card hold, placing the order on the order page, Soracross approving the order, and cancellation) apply in the same way to the customer who places the order.
- For delivery to an address in Japan, no delivery date can be specified: after Soracross approves the order it buys the items (usually within 1 to 2 business days), the retailer delivers them directly to that address in the customer's name, and delivery follows the retailer's shipping schedule.
- For delivery to an address in Japan, Soracross charges a flat delivery fee of JPY 1,000 and the same service fee formula as for the other orders on the AI order form, and the total, including these fees, must be JPY 100,000 or less.
- For delivery to an address in Japan, Soracross handles only items that the retailer sells as new: items from flea-market or other consumer-to-consumer marketplaces, second-hand or used items, items listed by individuals, and items that need installation work are not accepted.
- Soracross takes orders with delivery to an address in Japan under Article 5-3 of the Terms at https://soracross.com/en/legal/terms, and for those orders the Japanese version of the Terms is the authoritative text.
- A link to the AI order form for delivery to an address in Japan carries delivery=home, postal (the postal code, for example 150-0001 or 1500001), addr (the address, up to 300 characters) and tel (the phone number, digits and hyphens, 10 to 11 digits) after "#", together with the items (url1, qty1 and price1 for the tax-included price shown on the product page), and needs neither stay dates (checkin, checkout) nor an earliest delivery date (from). Example: https://soracross.com/ja/agent/order#url1=https%3A%2F%2Fshop.example.com%2Fitems%2F0000&qty1=1&price1=3980&delivery=home&postal=150-0001&addr=%E6%9D%B1%E4%BA%AC%E9%83%BD%E6%B8%8B%E8%B0%B7%E5%8C%BA%E7%A5%9E%E5%AE%AE%E5%89%8D1-1-1+%E3%82%B5%E3%83%B3%E3%83%97%E3%83%AB%E3%83%93%E3%83%AB101&tel=090-1234-5678
- In a link to the AI order form for delivery to an address in Japan, the part after "#" is not a place to keep secrets, because browser history and the conversation record of an AI assistant can keep it, so putting the postal code, address and phone number in the link is optional, and the customer may type them into the form directly.
- While Soracross has closed orders for delivery to an address in Japan, the AI order form accepts none of them and reports the error code agent_home_disabled (HTTP status 503); orders for hotels and pickup lockers are not affected by that closing.
- Amounts on the AI order form are in Japanese yen (JPY), and Soracross accepts an order from that form only if the total, including service fees and delivery costs, is JPY 100,000 or less.
- Card details for an order on the AI order form are entered in the card field on that form, by the traveler or by an assistant that the traveler allows to pay (for example with a single-use card number); Apple Pay and Google Pay are not available on the AI order form, and the card issuer may ask for 3-D Secure authentication (an identity check by the card issuer), which is for the card hold only and does not place the order.
- A card hold placed from the AI order form is not an order: Soracross charges nothing and buys nothing at that point, and the form then shows the amount held, the deadline for placing the order and the email address with part of it hidden.
- An order prepared on the AI order form is placed only when the customer places it on the order page linked in the email that Soracross sends to the address entered on the form; the assistant's operating or submitting of the form does not place the order, and replying to that email does not place it either.
- If an order prepared on the AI order form is not placed by the deadline, which is at most 48 hours after the card hold, Soracross releases the card hold and charges nothing; how soon the held amount is available again depends on the card issuer.
- After an order from the AI order form is placed, Soracross checks the price and stock and decides whether to approve the order, usually within 24 hours; the card is charged only when Soracross approves the order, and the card hold is released with no charge if Soracross has not approved the order within 6 days of the card hold.
- If the retailer's price is higher than the price entered on the AI order form, Soracross does not raise the amount: Soracross releases the card hold, charges nothing, and the traveler can place a new order at the current price; if the retailer's price is the same or lower and Soracross approves the order, Soracross charges the total shown when the order was placed.
- Until Soracross approves an order from the AI order form, the order can be cancelled free of charge on the order page.
- The result shown after the AI order form is sent includes cancelUrl, a link for cancelling the card hold, which the AI order form shows on that screen both as a link and as text.
- cancelUrl is shown only on that screen: record it immediately. Soracross shows that screen again in the same browser tab until the deadline for placing the order, but not in a new tab or after the tab is closed; if cancelUrl is lost, the customer can still cancel on the order page.
- Soracross lets the assistant cancel with cancelUrl only while the customer has not yet placed the order (pressed "Place my order" on the order page).
- To cancel with cancelUrl, an assistant opens it in a browser, waits a few seconds and presses the button on that page; nothing is charged, and Soracross notifies the customer by email.
- After the customer places the order, only the customer can cancel it, on the order page, and Soracross does not accept a cancellation made with cancelUrl at that point.
- Whoever holds cancelUrl can cancel the order while the customer has not placed it, so the link is meant only for the assistant that sent the order and should not be shared with anyone, and the AI order form does not include it when the same form is sent again (a duplicate).
- If the request that sent the AI order form carried a verified bot identity (a signed request), Soracross expects the cancellation to come from the same identity.
- If an assistant cannot operate a web page, if the cancellation fails, or if the result of the AI order form was lost, the customer can still cancel on the order page until Soracross approves the order.
- Soracross does not accept card numbers, images of payment cards or one-time passwords by email, chat or messaging apps.
- The AI order form is sometimes closed to new orders; the quote request form at https://soracross.com/en/quote remains available, and the traveler can send a request there.
Service
- Who this is for: travelers staying in Japan who want items purchased and delivered during their trip, and customers who live in Japan who want items delivered directly from the retailer to their own address in Japan (the recipient is the customer who places the order, and no delivery date can be specified).
- Delivery: to your hotel, or to a pickup locker (Tokyo and other areas), or, for a customer who lives in Japan, to the customer's own address in Japan.
- We address the parcel to your name at your hotel, marked with your stay dates. Whether the front desk accepts guest parcels depends on the hotel — so let us ask for you: with front-desk pre-notice (+¥1,000), we contact your hotel in Japanese before we buy to confirm it will hold the parcel. If it cannot, you choose between locker pickup and cancelling, before anything is bought. Please order early enough that it arrives during your stay.
- Supported languages: English, Chinese (Traditional), Korean, Indonesian, Turkish.
- Quote validity: 30 days. Payment deadline after approval: 48 hours.
- For in-stock items at our supported shops, typically 2–4 business days from payment to hotel delivery. Hard-to-find items can take longer — your quote includes an estimated receiving date.
Fees
- Service fee: 10% of the item subtotal plus JPY 1,000 per order; an additional 5% on the portion of the subtotal above JPY 10,000; JPY 1,000 sourcing fee per line item submitted without a product URL; delivery JPY 1,000 standard, +JPY 1,000 for locker pickup, +JPY 1,000 for hotel advance notice, +JPY 1,000 for an exact delivery date (refunded in full if the exact date is missed).
- Start with the item subtotal: the store's tax-included price of each item multiplied by quantity.
- Base service fee = 10% of the subtotal + JPY 1,000 per order.
- If the subtotal is above JPY 10,000, add 5% of the portion above JPY 10,000 (only the portion above, no cliff).
- Add JPY 1,000 per line item submitted without a product URL (sourcing fee).
- Add delivery: JPY 1,000 to your hotel, or JPY 2,000 for locker pickup; hotel advance notice +JPY 1,000 (hotel delivery only); exact delivery date +JPY 1,000 (refunded in full if the exact date is missed).
- Total = subtotal + service fee + delivery. Each percentage is rounded to the nearest yen. The quote you receive shows the final total; this is an estimate.
- Full fee schedule, machine-readable (JSON): https://soracross.com/fees.json

- Example: subtotal JPY 30,000, locker delivery: service fee JPY 5,000 + delivery JPY 2,000 = total JPY 37,000.
Delivery and pickup windows
- Delivery date window: your earliest date plus up to 2 more days (a 3-day window), free (ends no later than the day before check-out for hotel delivery).
- Locker pickup window: 3 days from arrival at the locker.
What we cannot handle
- We do not handle: medicines or pharmaceuticals of any kind, alcohol and tobacco, other age- or license-restricted goods, live animals, fresh food, dangerous or prohibited items, counterfeit goods, and resale-restricted tickets. When in doubt, just ask.
Cancellation and refunds
- For a quote request, cancellation before we purchase your items is free and refunded in full.
- For a quote request: cancel free any time before we purchase. For Express checkout: cancel free any time before we approve your order. After our approval and before we purchase, you may still cancel, but we refund what you paid less any costs we have actually incurred; after purchase and before receipt, we do our best within the retailer's policy. After you have received the items, cancellation is only possible if the retailer accepts a return — return shipping is paid by you, and our service fee is not refunded.
- Every quote is a fixed, all-in price. If it can't be fulfilled, you get a full refund — never a surprise charge.
- If we miss the exact date, the ¥1,000 is fully refunded and delivery switches to the 3-day window — unless the delay is due to reasons on your side.
- The pickup window is 3 days from arrival at the locker. If it passes, the parcel is returned automatically and we refund the product cost to you (our service fees are not refunded).
- If locker pickup isn't available: we'll deliver to the hotel you entered instead, and refund the ¥1,000 locker fee.

- We buy it — From official shops only. Proof of purchase is always available.
- You receive it — At your hotel, or a coin locker in the area you choose.
Frequently asked questions
How do I place an order?
Fill in the quote form with a product URL (or name), quantity, your hotel and your preferred receiving date. We reply by email with an all-in quote and a link to your personal order page, where you can check the exact products and approve — usually within 24 hours. Nothing is purchased until you approve and pay.
How do I pay?
By credit or debit card through a secure Square payment link we send with your quote. We never see or store your card details.
How long does delivery take?
For in-stock items at our supported shops, typically 2–4 business days from payment to hotel delivery. Hard-to-find items can take longer — your quote includes an estimated receiving date.
How does hotel delivery work?
We address the parcel to your name at your hotel, marked with your stay dates.
Can I cancel my order?
For a quote request: cancel free any time before we purchase.
What about returns or defective items?
Items are bought new from official retailers and delivered sealed, in their original packaging, with proof of purchase (the retailer's receipt or order confirmation) shown on your order page. Returns and exchanges follow each retailer's policy, and return shipping is paid by the customer. If something is defective, contact us right away and we will work it out with the retailer under their warranty.
Is there anything you can't buy?
We do not handle: medicines or pharmaceuticals of any kind, alcohol and tobacco, other age- or license-restricted goods, live animals, fresh food, dangerous or prohibited items, counterfeit goods, and resale-restricted tickets. When in doubt, just ask.
Can you get tax-free prices?
No. Tax-free shopping in Japan applies only to purchases you make yourself at tax-free counters with your passport. We purchase at regular tax-included retail prices.
I'm not in Japan yet. Can I order in advance?
Yes — that's the best way. Order before your trip and tell us your check-in date and hotel. If you want your items waiting when you arrive, add front-desk pre-notice (+¥1,000): we confirm with the hotel before we buy that it can hold them.
Do I get a receipt?
Yes — three documents. The retailer's proof of purchase (its receipt or order confirmation) is shown on your order page as proof of the goods purchase made on your behalf; Square issues a payment receipt for the card charge (Square emails it when you pay on Square's payment page; with Express checkout, you can open it from the link in our payment confirmation email or on your order page); and your order page shows the full fee breakdown. Because we buy as your agent, the sales contract for the goods is between you and the retailer.
Which shops do you buy from?
We buy mainly from Japan's three most trusted major retailers — Amazon Japan, Rakuten and Yodobashi. Send us any product link: if the item is available at one of these, we purchase it there and deliver it to you. So even if you found it on a lesser-known site, we get the same product from a trusted retailer. Other shops may be possible too — just mention it in your quote request and we'll let you know. You're never charged until you approve the quote.
How can I choose a delivery date?
Pick your earliest delivery date and we'll deliver within a 3-day window from that date (free). You can also choose exact-date delivery for +¥1,000. If we miss the exact date, the ¥1,000 is fully refunded and delivery switches to the 3-day window, unless we miss it for reasons on your side. For hotel delivery, the window ends no later than the day before your check-out.
How far in advance can I request?
We accept requests for stays whose check-in date is within 60 days of the request. This keeps your prepayment and our purchase close to your trip, so return windows and stock stay valid. If your trip is further away, please come back closer to the date.
